TO: Selected Members of iNEER Community Who Are Receiving This e-Mail

Dear Sir/Madam:

We would like to consider a paper from you for the upcoming iNEER Publication entitled: ”Engineering Education and Research – 2002: A Chronicle of Worldwide Innovations” which will be issued next year.  This publication, a hardcover bound volume containing archival papers from around the world, will be the second in a new series started by iNEER in 2001.

The front and inside covers, content page, and preface for the 2001 volume are attached for information.  A sample paper from the volume is also attached.  This volume will be distributed by iNEER to the worldwide community starting this summer.  It will also be included as a part of the registration package for all attendees of ICEE-2002 in Manchester, UK in August.

We would like to invite you and/or your colleagues to submit a paper for the 2002 volume.  This volume will be also disseminated widely, and included as a part of the registration package for ICEE-2003 to be held in Valencia, Spain in July, 2003.

Please follow the guidelines given at the end of this e-mail under ”Note to Contributors”.   Please use the sample paper attached for preferred format.
I would like to receive an electronic version (that is, an MS-word file attached to an e-mail sent in reply to this message) as soon as possible but no later than August 10, 2002.  The reason for this deadline is that the editorial board will review all submissions during the upcoming ISC meeting in Manchester, UK during ICEE-2002.  If, however, you need more time, please let me know.

Following iNEER policies, it will be necessary for us to obtain three reviews for your papers.  We encourage you, as an option, to suggest five reviewers (names, affiliation, regular and e-mail addresses) who are knowledgeable in the subject area of your paper.  We will contact you after review comments are received to inform you of our decision on publication of your paper. The editors’ decision will be final.

If your paper is accepted, it will be necessary for you (and your co-authors, if any) to sign the attached copyright transfer form. Please note that iNEER will be unable to accept your paper if the copyright has been assigned to another organization.

If you plan to submit a paper by August 10, please inform me by replying to this e-mail.

Thank you.

iNEER Editorial Board
Win Aung, Ph.D., Dr.h.c., P.E.
Secretary General, iNEER/ICEE-ISC,
