·    MEMS & NEMS: precision opto-mechatronics, ultra high precision positioning, ultra high precision machining, micro electro mechanical system, nanotechnology, smart sensors and actuators

·      Applications of Opto-Mechatronics in Production Systems: flexible automation production, automation technology, intelligent machine tools, in-situ machine sensing and control, infortronics-enabled opto-mechatronics systems for e-manufacturing and e-maintenance
