TECHNOLOGY ENHANCED LANGUAGE LEARNING FOR ENGINEERS -
NETWORKING MULTIMEDIA PROGRAMMES

ABSTRACT

Dr. Ana Gimeno will approach issues dealing with project work carried out through the Educational Innovation Programme with students from the School of Engineering which have resulted in applying computer assisted and technology enhanced learning to language acquisition.

Dr. Gimeno will also speak about issues relating to developing interactive multimedia courseware for language learning purposes and will demonstrate software designed at the University under a European co-operation programme. She will address the issue of creating an authoring template for other subject areas related to engineering. She will also introduce matters relating to the difficulties with which the University has come across in its attempts to network multimedia programmes designed for self-access purposes.
