CALL FOR PAPERS

Assessment in Engineering Education

Assessment of student learning is an important component of various practices targeted at enhancing engineering education. Engineering educators typically lack in developing effective assessment strategies and collaborative activities with experts in academic assessment are on the rise.

Papers describing design and implementation of effective assessment techniques are invited. Topics may include development of various tools / software for in-class or program assessment, use of electronic portfolios in assessment, development of rubrics for assessing engineering instruction, assessment tools for large size classes, techniques for assessing group work, writing assignments, and visual displays. A critical review of assessment techniques in engineering education will be useful for engineering educators around the world.
