International Conference on Engineering Education
ICEE-2003

Valencia, Spain, July 22-26, 2003

CALL FOR PAPERS

Integration of Languages in the Engineering Curriculum

The importance of communication and a knowledge of languages is firmly established in all fields of engineering. More so, since the number and range of international student exchange programmes and collaborative teaching projects is increasingly growing, as well as engineering projects which require international collaboration and teamwork.

This conference stream, therefore, intends to bring together research on Languages for Engineering Purposes (LSP), development projects of innovative teaching and learning materials, and examples of good practice. Issues relating to ICT-based language learning and teaching, such as New Learning Environments, CALL multimedia courseware, Web-enhanced Language Learning, etc. are strongly invited.

Since the overall theme of the conference is Teaching Innovation and International Partnerships as tools to achieve high quality teaching, papers addressing these topics in the area of languages are especially welcome.
