Physical Culture - Socialisation Mean in Engineering Educational Process

Abstract: Being one of the component parts of the universal culture, physical culture, together with all its components, has an important task in the process of social integration of the students from technical faculties.

Starting from the aims of physical education, we can scientifically prove that the teaching process is one of the basic element in co-optation, conscientiousness and integration of the student in any kind of physical exercise.

We have to accept the fact that besides keeping the body health and the propelling abilities, physical education, reveals friendship feelings, team principles prosper to collective work in the fields they'll have to work, absolutely necessary things for getting the best per performances in social integration, contributing to form and develop anyone personality and also contributing to self confidence in his own value, to better knowledge the physical, psychical abilities, so they have the certainty that they'll be successful in a ever changing society.

1  Introduction

The intuitive beliefs according to what an intensive implication in organising a sportive activity brings about positive changes in young generation psychological and social features, have a more and more practical support, an important value proven by precise results obtained in all kind of education institutions.

Although all the studies have a limited character , we can infer that the associations of the active participation in an organised background together with complex changes of self-estimate and self-confidence are the main parts of the complicated psychological developments produced by physical exercises and activity.

Guided by professional teaching stuff, all the aims that co-ordinate, orientates and lead the activity in physical education class, can be substantiate not only by simple wishes but by coercitiveness of being an active element.

A perfect background for physical education class based on a solid material base to satisfy the different demands of human personality, can be created only if the action is oriented in two directions:

  1. influencing the driving abilities and qualities that enables the professional abilities to have a more accurate, fastness and co-ordination.

  2. stimulating a positive attitude to get more favourable relationships with any kind of persons.

A new approach of teaching physical exercise must eliminate the sterile participation of students in classes and must reveal the importance of physical exercise in order to develop on an ascending spiritual, intellectual and physical curve.

The order of enumeration is not accidental because:

  1. The acceptance of a new fellow in a group (in physical education class) that has a different behaviour from the others together with collective behaviour as a part of any activity, have spiritual valences with significant marks on individual subconscious, usually the amount has positive values. Thus, self confidence is able to dominate the inhibition thought consisting of not being able to cope with necessities required by behaviour rules in any physical activity and inevitable the behaviour rules of any other activity, in whatever field.

  2. The behaviour as part of group formed in physical education class, has outstanding importance in intellectual activity, because as having the possibility to express freely and acceptably. This creates a favourite climate for the students, a healthy climate who removes the stress influences from their field of activity that might bound their activity.

  3. By the consciences and active participation at the physical education class, both the healthy and the harmonious development are not only hard to fulfil aims and they become not only aims or goals but also accomplished facts.

2  Spiritual implication

The physical education class has a special importance in micro-social organisation of the group (the group formed as the teaching process requires) on several ways:

  1. Choosing the leader, usually a different person established in lecture, seminar or lab classes. The leader has a great influence upon the others and he has driving abilities being meanwhile self-conscious and detached.

    The acknowledgement is unanimous, conscious, but the leader standing is often envied and appreciated at the same time.

    The activities unfolded in physical education class have the leader as a central point and the colleagues need his understood approval or disapproval.

  2. Guiding the group

    From the large variety of manifestation appearances, the group choose the ones come up to group demands, omitting the less approachable ones, or approachable to a small number of participators.

    Integration of new members or with less driving skills, is a step by step process, their behaviour being followed attentively, usually exaggerated and any attempt more or less successful is penalised.

    As for the less driving skilled, things are not the same. They are forced to more or less psychical strains and they generally miss their aims in getting better skills.

    The releaser element in the perception of the physical skills and the creation of a strong reason in his own resources to overtaking, might be even a simple achievement of a casual ability action.

    Integration is a step by step process, starting as passive spectator, rarely requested, followed by occasional participating, up to active and permanent participant.

  3. The unwritten rules as main element for physical education classes. These rules are referring to the period, the timing, the outfit, hairdo, and at last, the duration of the physical exercises, type of exercises, amount of participants, way to keep the score.

3  Intellectual implication

The behaviour in the physical education class has only positive effects on individual. Even the small or simple achievements in physical education class induce an advantageous state of mind that is suitable for further actions.

The specialists are suggesting , not accidentally, inclusion of physical exercise in the daily or weekly program, after the classes with higher intellectual stress and a focused attention.

The physical exercises have the task to remove the stress, to create a favourable state of mind, in order to assimilate new information, creating a healthy climate lacked in negative stress influence.

The physical tiredness (with its limits) is not the same thing as the one state of mind in which the individual is incapable of getting positive reactions to any stimulus from surroundings. This physical tiredness is considered to be the support for eliminating the manifestation field of the subordinate effects, pointed out after intensive stresses, reiterated in an intellectual series, being the strongest chain loop in the personality development.

4  Psychical implication

Starting from its educational and improved character, together with its large number of physical exercises and teaching technical, physical education class pursues:

  1. development of driving skills and dextrousness based on them;

  2. improvement of the body structure;

  3. strengthening the body's health;

  4. maintaining for a long time the general ability of working;

  5. development and consolidation of driving skills and abilities;

  6. gaining special knowledge.
