TO:    Members of the Engineering Education and Research Community

Dear Colleagues,

Greetings!

We are pleased to invite you to participate in the 2004 International Conference on Engineering Education October 17-21, 2004 on the beautiful University of Florida campus in Gainesville, Florida USA. Hosted by the University of Florida and the International Network for Engineering Education and Research (iNEER), the conference will focus on “Global Excellence in Engineering Education.”

During ICEE-2004, you will learn first-hand the latest innovations in engineering education and research from throughout the world and discover new opportunities for international cooperation.  The University of Florida is a leader in engineering education reform in the U.S. and one of the country’s largest and best research universities.

We welcome your abstracts, which should be submitted online through the conference Web site at: http://succeednow.org/icee/.  The deadline is April 1, 2004.

Scheduled during the best season to visit Florida, ICEE-2004 will include active workshops, paper presentations, and poster sessions as well as opportunities to interact with your peers while enjoying Florida's historic, cultural, and tourist attractions.

Some of the conference events include
a technical tour of the Kennedy Space Center and access to tours of Disney World in Orlando. Also located near Gainesville are the Daytona International Speedway, home of the Daytona 500, and the world famous beaches of Jacksonville, Daytona, and St. Augustine, America’s oldest city and well-known for its historic district. You can watch the sun rising over the horizon of the Atlantic Ocean, and enjoy the peacefulness of sunset over the salt marsh along the Intracoastal Waterway.

The previous ICEE conference was held July 2003 in Spain. For more information and a photo gallery, please visit: http://www.ineer.org/Events/ICEE2003Info/Welcome.htm.
