System-on-Chip

Papers are solicited on the general area of System-on-Chip (SoC) with focus on innovative idea on various research topics and related curricula and course design.

Many innovative Information Technology industries have been emerging from the rapid convergence of consumer electronics, communication, computer and content technologies. Among these, embedded systems based on SoC have quickly become very important due to their application on a wide range of products. With the advent of SoC technology, a new generation of engineers has to be educated and deployed to high-tech industries in order to harvest from those new technologies. To produce more talents with the appropriate training in this field, new education and training programs have to be implemented. The primary objective of this session is to discuss the possible ways on courses design and curricula design for SoC, the roles of the university, industry and government in workforce re-training for SoC, and various research topics related to SoC. Real case studies are particularly welcome.
