New Technologies in Mathematics for Engineering and other Sciences

The information and communication technologies (ICT) are modifying the teaching-learning process in Mathematics. At the same time the methods of Scientific Computing are playing an important role in research and engineering applications. The ongoing development of such systems enable the practical solution of many complex applied problems in the domains of natural sciences and engineering, also affecting the way in which basic sciences are to be taught in Engineering courses. With the aim of sharing the state-of-art in this field papers are solicited in order to know about the design, use and assessment of New Technologies in Mathematics for Engineering and other Sciences. Topics include but are not limited to:

  • Web-based or web-supported learning of Mathematics
  • Integration of Mathematics into Engineering or other Sciences
  • Computers in the classroom
  • New assessment methods
  • e-learning of Mathematics for Engineering
  • Collaboration between universities and new Mathematics design

The ICEE-2005 conference emphasizes development of international partnerships in education and research. Through special sessions and international workshops, it provides ample opportunity for discussing future cooperative projects.
