14:20 By bus to Lærdal via the 24.5 km Lærdal tunnel and cruise to Gudvangen

17:05 Bus from Gudvangen through narrow valleys to Voss
18:00 Arrival Voss, dinner at the traditional Fleischer's Hotel; presentation of the Lærdal tunnel
20:00 Bus from Voss to the city of Bergen
21:30 Arrival Bergen. Transfer to the hotels and check-in
Bergen is the "capital" of western Norway. It is a charming Hanseatic city located between the fjord and mountains.

August 10

07:00 Start serving breakfast at the hotel
10:00 Departure by bus for technical visit (to be announced)

This unique trip between Oslo and Bergen takes you through some of Norway’s most beautiful scenery. The Flåm line starts at Myrdal at an altitude of 866 meters, and the descent through the narrow Flåm valley to the sea level in only 20 km. is often described as the tour’s most breathtaking experience. For fifty minutes the view through the coach window is a constantly changing panorama of sky-high snow covered mountains, thundering waterfalls and green pastures at the bottom of the valley.

Return to Oslo

Those who need to return to Oslo may do this by the night train (8 hours) or by air (50 min). Price for flight ticket Bergen-Oslo is approx NOK 1400,-

Price for the train is approx NOK 470,- for the ticket, NOK 280,- per person in double sleeping cabin or NOK 50 for a seat.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Clothing
The climate in Bergen and the western Norway vary during summertime. We recommend to bring both summer clothes, a warm jacket (or similar), raincoat and practical walking shoes.

Bergen by night
The evening in Bergen is at own disposal. You will find a guide for restaurants etc. in Bergen at the hotel reception. The reception will also be helpful with useful information.
